Hi, My name is Sonia. I am a native New Yorker, and professional hair colorist. After I bleached my hair for the first time at age 10, it became an obsession. My curiosity and interest for coloring hair never stopped. I spent years of experimenting with color, and “playing” with hair before I would begin my professional journey. In 2008, after completing beauty school at the Aveda Institute in NY; My training continued at the Tosler Davis Salon in Manhattan, where I’ve worked ever since. I am also a beauty product junkie. I love to research and test new hair products, color lines, as well as seek out new trends and techniques in hair color. I created ManePop as a platform, where I will be able to share my explorations and learning’s as a Professional Colorist. I aim for it to be a destination of inspiration and truth. All hair-related questions will be encouraged and welcomed, from color formulas to styling tips. I promise to give complete and realistic advice and opinions.
